In heavy manufacturing, welding is a core process, yet companies have long been plagued by a growing shortage of skilled welders, unstable vertical-weld quality and low efficiency on long seams. Shanxi Zhongbei Huike Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd., established in November 2024, has launched the seven-axis rail-mounted welding robot to address these pain points through automation. The steel structure, bridge, shipbuilding and heavy industry sectors are facing a widening welder shortage, poor accuracy in cutting and fit-up, and a large volume of non-standard and small-batch workpieces. Manual welding, especially in the vertical position, is heavily affected by the operator's skill level and physical stamina, resulting in obvious quality fluctuations and low efficiency on long seams.
